2013 baby!
on new years eve, oliver and i hosted a NYE party. new years (and halloween) is one of those holidays that i really hate to drive on. this year was especially bad because of the rain. i just don't feel safe with all those drunk drivers.
so instead, we hosted a party at our place! we had finally gotten in the new furniture, and the house was looking good. the guest list included: annie and travis, cacey and joe, rachael and kyle, gloria and david, rebecca and james, jennifer and brandon, and katherine, micah and benjamin. am i forgetting anyone??? totally my bad if i did.
so cacey and i worked on the house for about 2 days, transforming the christmas decor into new years decor and making food. the menu was: brisket, sausage balls, a cheese ball, meatballs, spinach dip in a bread bowl, bacon wrapped cream cheese jalapenos, chips and salsa, and then our guests also brought a carrot souffle, green bean casserole, cupcakes, brownies, pigs in a blanket, pinto beans, and jerky. it was SO MUCH FOOD! but so good!
we had a great time. it was raining pretty much all night, so we couldn't go outside like we usually would and use the fire pit, but we played apples to apples, the boys watched football, and everyone played with the baby. :) all in all, i would say it was a pretty successful new years! enjoy!

ps. helpful tip for your christmas and new years printables....when you put away your holiday decor, simply shift the printable to the back of the picture frame and put your picture or what-have-you in front of it. for instance, i have kept my christmas and new years printables in the frames you see above. then when next year rolls around, i dont have to re-print or hunt around for it, nor will they be bent up. ill just put the current picture behind whatever printable i want to use. :)
