about the willinghams

oliver and i met in college station when we both were attending undergrad.  he worked at the dixie chicken and i worked at midnight rodeo, both as bartenders.  through mutual friends (long/weird story) we ended up dating.  i graduated august 2007 and moved back to houston to start my career and he stayed in college station, so we were long distance for 2 loooong years.

after he graduated in may 2009, we decided to rent a townhouse together and move in. we lived together for a year, and on our 3rd anniversary in june 2010, got engaged.  we were engaged for almost 2 years (we take our time with things) and during that time we bought a house in pearland, i got my masters, and we both switched jobs.

on may 12 2012, we got married.  i blogged all about our wedding and the events leading up to in a stream of posts starting here. our wedding ended up getting featured on a wedding blog, style me pretty texas, and that kind of inspired me to keep going with the whole wedding thing and so i started my own rentals and event styling business in january 2013.

we have an almost 4-year-old black german shepherd named harley and she is the best dog in the entire world.  she is super jealous about me holding any babies or even talking in a baby voice to other people--even oliver. so when we do have kids, that should be pretty interesting.

i love to read, cook, drink wine, hang out with my girlfriends, and clean/decorate my house.  oliver likes to play guitar and sing, drink beer, have people over, and be really loud.  together we do crossfit, fish, and host a lot of parties.

this blog is just a way to chronicle all the messes we get ourselves into, the parties we host, and the cute decor i put up around the house.  hopefully you enjoy.  thanks for reading!
