this weekend elysia, jamie and i hosted annie and travis' couples shower. it was super fun! the theme was "warm up with love" and the colors were red, gold, and black. we tried to incorporate the theme wherever we could, so we did foods, drinks, and gave favors that went along with it.
for the food, we served a vartiey of hot and cold apps, chili and potato soup with a toppings bar, and some yummy wedding cake cupcakes and cheesecake. for drinks, we did mulled wine, hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps, and beer and wine.
of course we had the backyard all lit up (props to oliver!) and the firepit and the fireplace were both going. we played an annie and travis trivia game (the winner got a bottle of wine), and then some apples to apples.
when the guests left, they were given their parting gift of a mug that said "warm up with love, annie & travis" and had a hot chocolate packet, a mini bottle of baileys, and a red heart.
overall, i think (hope!) that the couple had a good time, and that all the guests did too! happy soon to be wedding, lovebirds!
