hey blog peeps! i decided to start a little post called tidbits (ooh, you fancy) to share with you guys the little things that happen that don't quite warrant a blog post.  i think its the small details in life that are more fun to read later....so here goes!



-this weekend we went to magnolia to spend time with our friends travis and amber. they are always a great time...but this weekend, they had their neighbors over too, who have 4 unruly boys.  i mean, these boys are a MESS.  travis had soaked some gummi bears in vodka (yes, its as good as it sounds) and one of the boys came upstairs to where the girls were crafting and said "WHOS HUSBAND PUT ALCOHOL IN THE GUMMIES???"  needless to say, i died laughing (*parent of the year award).  then he went on to say that the "bald" guy downstairs gets really really loud when he puts that beer in his mouth.  i figured out he was talking about oliver. ha. i coulda told you that, kid!

-i have migraines pretty regularly, and get them once every month or two. they arent as bad as they were when i was in college, but still enough to knock me out for a few hours. i had one yesterday and just now my boss came in to check on me.  (he's a guy).  i told him it was better today and i think my migraines are tied to my monthly cycle.  UM WTF??  why did i tell my MALE boss that????  chronic oversharing.

-i painted the backside of our kitchen island this weekend, where the barstools go.  it was SO not a big deal! i may now be a little overconfident in painting, but it took no time at all to prep and paint.  literally, from start to finish maybe 3 hours tops.  now i am looking around the house at what else i can paint!  too bad we have like 18 foot ceilings everywhere.  thats going to be interesting.

-my moms annual race for the cure is this weekend.  we have a kids area, silent auction, DJ, food, the works!  usually i volunteer for the silent auction area, but this year i am going to walk it.  with the wedding and the new job, i really didnt want to commit to another event, so i am excited about just getting to participate like a normal person.  getting up at 3AM doesnt sound so great this saturday.  :) sorry mom!

-i made tortilla soup last night, and i must have not added enough liquid or something, because it was literally like a casserole in a pot.  it got all gummy and mushy, no liquid at all.  oliver was nice and didnt say anything, but i think it may have to go in the garbage tonight.  gross.
