a crazy weekend

this past weekend was jam-packed and crazy. on friday night, i co-hosted a wine tasting event with my friend felicia.  it was ran by katherine from wines@home  and we got to try 6 different wines and she also had paired each wine with cheeses. it was super fun and a great excuse to drink copious amounts of wine! 

the top were the wines that she brought, and the bottom was my personal stash. :)

felicia brought me this super cute glass box and we thought that all the corks would look cute in it!

 i took notes.  and i owe felicia a recipe for sangria and malibu! and cassy wants me to have frozen grapes, wine, or blackberries next time instead of ice cubes for her white wine.  :) 

 once the red wine got busted out, my vino-loving dog started circling the table asking for some samples.  and the hubs got in on the action as well.  (i brought him a glass as he was working on the computer.) 

on saturday, i met up with danielle in brenham to plan for our next styled shoot.  we went by her parents house for a bit and hung out with them. oh, and yes, thats an AK47. we ride hard.  we also went by my FAVORITE antiques store in brenham and i got quite the haul.  check for a blog update soon over at recycled&LOVED to see my new stuff! 

we had lunch at must be heaven, and it was (heaven) and saw this old couple sitting by the front door.  creepyyyyyy!! amber d---if you are reading this, these guys remind me of the doll at your moms house. 

saturday night, we went out to celebrate my brother-in-law ian's new job at halliburton.  we went and got some crawfish at flloyd's and i actually ate 4 crawfish and one shrimp and didn't gag or die! i had the grilled chicken and it was super good. oh and the guys ate something like 25lbs of crawfish.  

after we ate, we had an after party and jamming sesh at my house. fun times.  good job ian!!  

then on sunday, i went to meet my friends charles and melissa's baby harper.  she was just the sweetest baby girl! she smiled at everyone and didn't fuss once the whole time i was there.

after that, i met up with one of my recycled&LOVED brides, kristen, to see her venue and do our walkthrough. her venue, madera estates in conroe, was GORGEOUS.  there was so much to see! we loved that this mirror made us look skinny. ha. 

just some of the details of this place.  can't wait for her wedding! 

 sunday night, i came home, did laundry, and crashed early while oliver watched the americans. it was a fun/busy/productive weekend!! (and after re-reading this, i think i say 'cute' too much. and maybe super. )
